We should not celebrate Beaglegate. It's what The Cathedral wants.

Throwing Fauci under the bus is a strategic move

Fauci is the face and the lightning rod of the COVID response movement. But none of the false predictions made were his. None of lockdown measures or mask mandates or vaccine requirements were his ideas.

These all came from academia, were fed into the government bureaucracy, and then were spoken by Fauci's mouth.

Yes, Fauci is an evil person and a horrible human being. But he's just the face of the problem.

Using the beagles wasn't Fauci's idea. It happened under his watch, and he is accountable for that. But it could just as easily have happened under any other government bureaucrat's watch, because they are all the exact same brand of evil and horrible.

Replacing Fauci with another beauracratic hack and expecting improvement is like buying a new television and expecting the cable news channels to stop lying.

When the Corporate Press allows the Beaglegate scandal to gain traction, it means that The Cathedral is in damage control mode. Don’t buy into it.

Beaglegate is their way of letting Fauci escape under the fleeting cloud of a minor scandal, and removing the lightning rod of COVID criticism.

As usual, the political right will gleefully accept a trade giving them feel-good moment that means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things while doing absolutely nothing to solve the underlying problems.

Fauci will retire in comfort and massive piles of cash from speaking engagements and book deals, everyone under him climbs one rung further up the ladder.

The policies and problems won't move a millimeter, and blithering idiots will declare a victory. This is not a win, and this is not how you win.

This is how you keep losing forever.

The problem is never the mouthpiece of these machines of control.

The problem is the existince of these machines of control. As long as they exist, evil people will find their way to the top because they are by far the most motivated to do so. Good and decent people do not want these jobs.

Don't attack the heads of the NIH and CDC and Big Tech and the Universities and the Corporate Press.

Attack the cogs of the machine: the minons and management who do the real work. They are the ones creating the evil outcomes. The outcomes continue endlessly without the face of the machine. The outcomes stop when the machine itself is destroyed.

Each and every employee and manager of the NIH contributes to a culture of lies and deceptions that have lead to the death of innocents and the destruction of lives.

Each and every employee and manager of the CDC contributes to a culture of lies and deceptions that have lead to the death of innocents and the destruction of lives.

Each and every writer, producer, talking head, manager, board member, and support staff of the Corporate Press contributes to a culture of lies and deceptions that have lead to the death of innocents and the destruction of lives.

Each and every executive, board member, manager, technician, programmer, and support staff of the Big Tech censors (Google, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter) contributes to a culture of lies and deceptions that have lead to the death of innocents and the destruction of lives.

Each and every faculty member, board of regents member, administator, and support staff of the universities and collegs contributes to a culture of lies and deceptions that have lead to the death of innocents and the destruction of lives.

A tiny few have spoken out against the lockdowns and other stupid, worthless, unscientific and destructive responses to COVID-19. They have redeemed themselves in this one particular aspect of their employer's malfeasance. But they are still part of the machine.

All of these people have created, sustained, and profited from the culture of lies and deceptions that have led us to this moment in history.

All are complicit.

All are guilty.

All must pay.

Remember: There is no machine without the cogs.

Trade restrictions Are COVID-Lite.

Don’t worry!

His “very smart people” are totally right about things this time when it comes to trade.

There is zero - I repeat, zero - moral difference between the people who pushed for "experimenting" with lockdowns because "we have to do something!" and the people who push for "experimenting" with trade wars because "we have to do something!"

Musk finally realized that Trump sold him out.

Musk is out.

Musk put himself in a corner where he can't rip into Trump and he has to play nice probably at least through the midterms, but just look at the guy's face and watch him refuse to give a straight answer here. He put a lot on the line with endorsing Trump and starting DOGE, and Trump absolutely stabbed him in the back. Trump's supporters will blame congress, but Trump has very openly and loudly endorsed all of the DOGE-defying moves that congress has made, and has viciously attacked the one congressman (Thomas Massie) who has stood against it.

The reason is simple: Trump cares about trophies. Cutting the budget is not a trophy. DOGE trying to take a chainsaw to government was a trophy, but as soon as DOGE became more of Musk's than Trump's trophy, Trump stopped caring about it because congress offered him a Big, Beautiful Bill as a trophy instead. Just like the FBI offered the opportunity to build a Big, Beautiful new headquarters building for them (Trump loves buildings!). ...

Doug Stanhope on "unacceptable" humor

As comedy slowly slides into unfunny wokeness hell, the last comedian standing (assuming he doesn't drop dead first, I mean just look at the guy; he's a trainwreck) will be Doug Stanhope. He closed out his recent special "The Dying of the Last Breed" with this bit on how important it is that we be able to make fun of anything. Because making fun.

Language warning, duh.

Preliminary Q2 numbers for Argentina are in. This is still subject to adjustment but so far their preliminaries have been pretty accurate under the Milei administration.

Slashing spending works. Trump and Bessent are very optimistically projecting economic growth of 3% doing the opposite of what Milei is doing to deliver 7.6% - and climbing!

No matter who is in power, they will use the government's completely absurd economic statistics to push their statist agendas.
